Carl Stones Edges out High School Rival Rory Tunningley in Sunshine Run

If ever a race name was apropos, it was the Sunshine Run 5-K and 10-K on Sunday morning. There simply could not have been a better spring morning for the second running of this event: Clear skies, dry weather, temps in the low 60s and brilliant sunshine.

2nd Annual Sunshine Run 5K/10K Leads Busy Race Weekend

Spring has always meant 5-K racing season in Austin and even though that season is drawing to a close, there are still several races left such as the Ants in Your Pants in Pflugerville and the Daisy 5-K at Camp Mabry next weekend. But this Sunday is more jam packed than usual with options in just about every city from San Antonio to Dallas and Fredericksburg to Bryan/College Station. In total we have 29 event listings on our Race Calendar for May 2nd and 3rd.
