Paul Carrozza Named Track and Cross-Country Coach at St. Stephen’s Episcopal High

Paul Carrozza, the former owner of the RunTex stores, has been named the head track and cross-country coach for the St. Stephen's Episcopal School, a college prep school with nearly 700 students. Carrozza will coach both the middle and high-school track programs at the school off 360 in northwest Austin.

McNeil HS Track Coach Chris Cotten Arrested For Indency With A Child

Another Austin-area track coach has been arrested and charged with having an inappropriate relationship with a student. Christopher Cotten, 41, who has been a track coach at McNeil HS, was arrested and booked into Williamson County Jail on April 9th, but has since bonded out. He is charged with indecency with a child by sexual contact, improper relationship between an educator and a student and distribution of harmful material to a minor.

Former Austinite Matthew Maton Kicked Off Oregon HS Team

Matthew Maton, who has won six Oregon state track and cross-country titles, has been kicked off his Summit HS team in Bend. Maton, who was raised in Austin but moved to Bend six years ago with his family, is one of the most decorated high school distance runners in the country and was recruited by most of the top track powers (including Texas). He has signed a letter of intent to attend the University of Oregon where his older sister Ashley is a junior on the team.

Cedar Park HS’s Timo Sheard Placed On Leave By School
