Chris Kimbrough Further Cements Legendary Status, Breaks Women’s Beer Mile Record

Fresh off a third place finish at the 2014 Run for the Water 10-Miler, 44-year-old mother of six Chris Kimbrough broke the women’s beer mile record with a stunning 6:28. The previous record of 6:42 was set by Seanna Robinson of Hamilton, Ontario in 1997.

An official beer mile involves drinking a 12 ounce can of beer, running 400 meters, drinking another 12 ounce can of beer, and repeat three more times. In total it is 48 ounces of beer and 1600 meters.

As we previously reported, the Inaugural Beer Mile Championships will be hosted by Flotrack on December 3, 2014. Registration and details are available at http://www.flotrack.org/beermileworlds/.
