• The Austin Distance Challenge kicks off this Sunday with the 80’s 8k in Cedar Park. It’s the first race of the series that concludes with the Austin Marathon. The weather looks like it could really be favorable for Sunday. The forecast projects a low of 65 degrees with a high of 86 degrees.   • Ready to Run celebrated their 3rd anniversary yesterday. Ready to Run is a full service running store with shoes, clothes and all the advice you need. Congrats to Ryan and the team over there. Their store is conveniently located at 3616 Far West Blvd #120, Austin, TX 78731. They are open Monday through Friday from 10a-7pm, 9am-6pm Saturday and 12pm-5pm Sunday.


  • Some news about the Dallas Marathon:  The BMW Dallas Marathon has teamed up with the BMW Berlin Marathon to send one lucky participant in this year’s Dallas event (marathon, half marathon or five-person relay division) to the 2017 BMW Berlin Marathon.   • Rogue Running moved their former retail/training location in Cedar Park to a new location on September 10.  Their new home at 930 South Bell Blvd Suite 104 is a training only location. The downtown store is still retail and training. Cedar Park training inquires can be directed to coach Jen @ jen@roguerunning.com


  • The 6th annual Kerrville Triathlon Festival was last weekend. The annual race put on by High Five Events includes a sprint, quarter and half distance races. This local destination triathlon has become a favorite among Austin triathletes due to its proximity and the course venue. This particular event truly features a race for all athletes.
